If you want to delete your SportTrack account and all associated data, you have two options. Both have the same effect: permanent deletion of your account and personal data within a maximum of 30 days.

⚠️ Important: this action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover your followed teams, preferences, or usage history.

Option 1: From the app (recommended)

1 Open the SportTrack app on your phone

2 Tap the Profile icon (bottom right corner)

3 Tap Settings or the gear icon ⚙️

4 Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete account"

5 Confirm the action by entering your password

6 You'll receive a confirmation email. Your account and data are deleted within 30 days.

Option 2: By email (if you can't access the app)

If you lost access to your account or cannot use the in-app option, email us:

Subject: Delete SportTrack account

In the email body, include:

The email associated with your SportTrack account
Confirmation that you understand this action is irreversible

We'll reply within 72 hours with confirmation. Deletion completes within 30 days.

What data gets deleted

✅ Your email and hashed password (auth account)
✅ Your user profile (name, avatar if uploaded)
✅ Followed teams, leagues, and players
✅ Preferences (language, theme, notifications)
✅ Push notification tokens
✅ In-app interaction history
✅ Premium subscription status (if applicable)

What data is retained (and for how long)

📊 Anonymous and aggregated logs (no personal identifiers): up to 12 months, for usage analytics only.
💰 Premium purchase receipts: retained per applicable tax law (typically 7 years in the U.S.), but already dissociated from your personal identity.

Timeline

Request confirmed: 24-72 hours
Complete deletion: maximum 30 days from confirmation
Backups and caches: up to 60 additional days in encrypted backups (then overwritten)
